Rossetts serves up another Sprinter for QCEL 23 February 2017

Worthing-based catering equipment specialist QCEL (Quality Catering Equipment Ltd) has acquired another Sprinter – this a chassis cab for delivering two-deck pizza ovens to restaurants nationwide.

The company went for a fuel-efficient 313 CDI Long model, which was fitted with a dropside body by Solent Bodybuilders, of Fareham, as well as a 500 kg DEL column tail-lift.

It joins a Sprinter panel van, a Vito and a Citan Sport.

“These ovens are big and bulky, weighing in at 960 kg apiece, and our new Sprinter enables us to transport two at a time, while the dropside body ensures they are easily accessible to our teams, who can load and unload efficiently and safely,” states managing director Steve Coleman.

“Rossetts Commercials [the dealer] back-up is phenomenal and has been a key factor in our decision to switch the fleet to Mercedes-Benz,” continues Coleman.

“Its sales executive Martin Gearing is very responsive and the fact that, unlike our previous supplier, the dealer has a workshop that remains open through the night is a huge bonus.

“It means we can drop a van off at 5pm and pick it up the next morning without any disruption to our business or impact on our customers.

“Mercedes-Benz Service Plans represent another massive ‘tick’ – they’re excellent value for money and provide great peace of mind.”
