Rugbi scores a Mercedes-Benz hat-trick24 February 2012

Rugbi Industrial Supplies, the Neath-based supplier of corporate clothing, personal protection equipment and consumables, has competed its switch to Mercedes-Benz vans.

Its latest is a Euro 5 version – and all three of its long-bodied and high-roofed Mercedes-Benz Sprinters were supplied by South Wales dealer Euro Commercials.

The last two were both 311CDIs but this model has since been superseded by the Euro 5 Sprinter 313CDI.

As well as delivering a 13% reduction in CO2 emissions, the 313CDI is 15% more fuel-efficient than its predecessor – the improvement equating to an extra 4.5mpg.

"We bought our first Mercedes-Benz van in 2009 and have not looked back," reveals Rugbi director Steve Buckley.

"Our previous suppliers struggled with spare parts and couldn't fit us in for servicing when we needed them to do so."
