Scania confirms significant coach orders at EuroBus Expo04 November 2016

Scania paraded a series of successes at this week’s Euro Bus Expo (1—3 November, NEC, Birmingham), citing orders from Princess Coaches, Dunwood Travel, Skills Motor Coaches, Belle Coaches and City Circle.

Princess Coaches has ordered three 12.8-metre length, 53-seat Scania Interlink HD coaches – the UK's first to be equipped with a rear door and rear-mounted washroom – adding to its 16-strong, all-Scania fleet.

Dudley, West Midlands-based Dunwood Travel ordered a 49-seat Scania Irizar i6 coach, while directors Phil Westwood and Colin Duncan also took delivery of their latest fleet addition, a Scania Touring coach.

Skills Motor Coaches ordered seven 53-seat Scania Interlink HD coaches to add to its 145-strong fleet. Based on Scania's K 410 EB4x2 chassis, each of the new vehicles has been specified with Scania's 410bhp Euro 6 engine driving through the Opticruise AMT (automated manual transmission).

Lowestoft-based Belle Coaches confirmed an order for a new 53-seat Scania Interlink HD coach, based on the 410bhp K 410 EB4x2 chassis and built to Finesse specification.

Middlesex-based City Circle confirmed an order for a further 16 Scania-based Irizar vehicles, following the success of 20 similar Scania Irizar i6 coaches delivered earlier this year.

All are 53-seat, high-spec 13.22-metre i6 models, based on Scania’s K 410 EB6x2*4 tri-axle, rear steer chassis.
