Scania launches shorter Touring HD coach01 October 2019

Scania has announced it is introducing a shorter version of its Touring HD coach, with an overall length of 10.9m.

Based on Scania’s 9-litre 355bhp chassis, the vehicle will have either 42 seats and a rear toilet or 45 seats without a toilet.

Standard specification includes Kiel Avance 1020 passenger seats with three-point seatbelts, seatback tables, USB chargers at all passenger seats, Bosch Smart Series audio equipment and DVD player.

Lee Wale, UK retail sales manager for Scania, says: “We are delighted to announce this new shorter length Touring coach, which will enter a market segmentation that is growing in demand.

“The coach utilises the full-size Scania K 360 IB chassis, which is standard on the 12.1m version of the Touring [as pictured] and which many operators favour for its reliability, high level of specification and fuel efficiency.

The new model will also come with Scania’s two-year R&M package and fleet management service data.

Orders are being taken now, with the first of the new models arriving in the UK in May next year.
