Scania’s driver training division buys new trucks 20 February 2013

Following sustained growth, Scania Driver Training has now invested in eight new trucks for its UK driver-development fleet.

Comprising four rigids and four articulated units, the new vehicles will provide drivers with state-of-the-art equipment on which to learn professional truck driving.

"Driver training is a key element in Scania's product portfolio today, so we constantly strive to improve our service by investing in vehicles, instructors and the infrastructure to support them," says Mark Agnew, driver development manager for Scania.

"This latest investment follows our securing of on-going training agreements with a number of high profile national operators," he continues.

"In addition to fulfilling their needs, our enlarged fleet has been created to also assure existing and new customers of the best possible training experience."
