Sentinel offers free CLOCS safety system trials 04 April 2016

Sentinel Systems is offering no-obligation trial of its range of vehicle and camera safety systems, following successes wityh earlier customer trials.

“We have found that the trials ... are invaluable as they allow customers the time to find the right package for their fleet,” explains David Paulson, managing director of Sentinel Systems.

“We work closely with each customer to set up the trial – sometimes on two vehicles – adapting the system to help them find exactly the right solution,” he continues.

“From these trials we have been able to provide bespoke camera system packages, confident in the knowledge that the solution is the most effective for their specific requirements.”

London-based civil engineering contractor JB Riney & Co – which recently took delivery of the CLOCS and FORS compliant Mercedes-Benz Econic-based tipper and grab truck – is one example.

“We have been using Sentinel’s safety systems on our vehicles for several years since we were given the opportunity to trial their cyclist safety equipment,” comments Barry Parker, head of fleet at JB Riney.

“This system was presented to us as a particularly important solution for our vehicles as we operate daily in central London and the surrounding boroughs,” he explains.

“We were able to see how much this [system] can improve the safety of our vehicles for both our drivers and pedestrians and cyclists, and we were overall very pleased with what the system offered.”

JB Riney has since installed the same system throughout its HGV fleet, with some of its larger vehicles now using Sentinel’s complete camera systems and mobile recording devices.

“Not only were the systems competitively priced, but Sentinel has been great to work with since our initial trial and provide an excellent service,” states Parker.
