Seven twice for PDQ’s latest Mercedes refrigerated vehicles 07 October 2015

PDQ Specialist Courier Services is now running a Mercedes-only vans and truck fleet, since acquiring another seven vehicles all fitted with Carrier Transicold refrigeration and Seven Telematics temperature monitoring and tracking systems.

The North West based courier – which serves the pharmaceutical, hazardous and scientific analysis industries, and won the ‘Refrigerated Courier of the Year’ Award at the annual TCS&D Awards last month – has been using Seven’s systems since its inception.

“From Day One, we have specified Seven’s Transcan 2 temperature monitoring equipment and Cool Track remote tracking on every vehicle as we believe it is by far the best and most effective in the business,” comments PDQ business development manager Luke Devlin.

He also says that, such is the variety of loads carried, the firm needs specialist vehicles.

“In the most recent batch of seven new vehicles we have dual and triple compartment bodies, as well as up to three temperature probes,” he explains.

“We ensure traceability throughout the delivery process and can log into any vehicle at any time all over Europe – including when they are on ferries.”
