Smooth sailing for Mayday Travel Starliner coaches 26 August 2013

Mayday Travel, in Croydon, has taken delivery of two MAN Neoplan Starliner coaches, following the withdrawal of Setra from the market – and says it's enjoying the experience.

"We looked around for something that could give us a real wow factor for passengers and drivers," comments owner Keith D'Souza.

"The Starliners fitted the bill and then some. Passengers are really knocked out by the style and luxury of the vehicles, while drivers are queuing up to take one on a trip," he continues.

"Add in the four-year bumper-to-bumper warranty that MAN Truck & Bus UK offers on its Neoplan products, together with its national customer-support network, and you have two more very compelling arguments for investing in these vehicles," he adds.

Mayday Travel acquired the Starliners with assistance from finance broker Crystal Asset Finance, and will handle most of the routine maintenance and service work in-house.

D'Souza says he will rely on Croydon's local MAN dealer for warranty work, together with occasional support on anything its own workshop won't handle.
