St Austell Brewery has extra measures of Isuzu Forward23 February 2017
St Austell Brewery has taken delivery of four Isuzu Forward 7.5-tonners as part of its rolling fleet upgrade, describing the vehicle’s payload as “unbeatable”.
The latest order brings the total to 10 Forward 7.5-tonners in the last three years, with another 10 Isuzu trucks already operating in the fleet.
Supplied by dealer T Harvey, the additions are Forward N75.190 manual Euro 6 models, with curtainside bodies.
Brewery operation support manager Derek Wood says the vehicle is more than fit for purpose when it comes to St Austell’s distribution operation: “The compact narrow footprint works really well for us out on the narrow roads in this part of the country, while the proven excellent payload of the lightweight chassis and body ensures that we get at least 3.5-tonne payload – which is unbeatable for a 7.5-tonner.”
He adds: “Since we first introduced Isuzus into the fleet, we have found that they have performed really well. The reliability is certainly proven within our fleet and they are an excellent workhorse that can comfortably handle the intensity of our distribution operation.”
