Stoneridge launches advanced one-minute rule tachograph 19 May 2014

Dubbed the smartest one-minute-rule tachograph yet. Stoneridge's newly launched SE5000 Exakt Duo2 covers Working Time Directive calculations, an advanced period of availability (POA) mode and real-time ferry and train support.

Victoria Tramma, marketing and central sales manager at Stoneridge, explains that, in addition to existing features, the new unit means drivers can now see how POA should be counted, giving them a more accurate view of their break and rest time.

Tramma also explains that drivers will see a new screen that warns them when they are approaching their daily and weekly working time limits.

As for the real-time ferry and train calculations, she says that drivers will get accurate views of remaining drive and rest times during their journeys.

As for other improvements aimed at saving time, a new feature automatically locks in data the first time a new company card is inserted. Meanwhile, the status of the second source of motion is now provided on the technical printout.
