Sureway repeats order for three Isuzu rigids11 June 2019

Palletised freight distributor Sureway Express Transport has taken delivery of three Isuzu 7.5-tonne rigids, which replace three identical trucks now stood down after five years’ reliable service.

Supplied by dealer Cumbria Truck Centre, the Avonmouth-based operator’s new additions are all N75.190 (E) curtainsided rigids, with Easyshift semi-automatic transmission and tuckaway tail-lift.

All three vehicles are from Isuzu’s Driveaway range of pre-bodied trucks, and they join a mixed fleet of

25 tractors and rigids, along with 15 trailers.

Rob Lloyd, founder and managing director of Sureway Express Transport, says: “The initial three Isuzu rigids have been really reliable and productive over the last five years, so it made perfect sense simply to repeat the order when we were looking for replacement vehicles for this contract.

“Not only do they return good fuel consumption and provide us with market-leading payload in operation, but also the drivers find them really easy to drive on their difficult and busy urban routes in Bristol.”

The trucks are expected to be in operation for five years, covering 50,000km a year on multi-drop palletised distribution.
