Suttons Group updates branding and cabs with £6m investment06 August 2018

International logistics and supply chain business Suttons Group is investing more than £6 million in new cabs – the first in the UK road tanker fleet to feature the company’s new branding.

The company is purchasing 70 new FM Volvo Globetrotter XL cabs as part of a strategy to upgrade its existing vehicles, along with new tanker barrels and isotanks.

The cab specification has been modified from 2017 – when it acquired more than 200 tractor units for £17m – with extra-large cabs featuring an upgraded audio package and fridge.

It also plans to update branding on all vehicles within the next five years.

John Sutton, CEO Suttons Group said: “We are the UK’s largest bulk chemical logistics company and are continuing to grow with a number of key business wins. It’s therefore vital that we invest in the latest equipment and technology.

“The £6m investment is part of our five-year strategy for growth and the modernisation of our business. As part of this, we have refreshed our brand to represent our focus on advanced technology, excellent customer service and our continued focus on safety.”
