Sweet spot for Cool Track with CDT Sidoli desserts fleet 09 February 2016

Artisan desserts manufacturer CDT Sidoli’s latest fleet of 13.4 metre Chereau refrigerated trailers was specified with Seven Telematics’ Cool Track remote temperature system for all dual-compartment units.

The Welshpool-based company is a long-term user of Seven Telematics’ TranScan 2 data logging system, but Sidoli logistics manager Andrew Dodd says the company needed more sophistication.

“We have experienced a definite requirement for more detailed temperature tracking on our fleet, as many of customers are now auditing all aspects of the cold chain, from our manufacturing processes through to our transport and logistics operations,” explains Dodd.

CDT Sidoli runs a seven-strong fleet of tractor units and refrigerated multi-compartment trailers, as well as a 7.5 tonne rigid truck and two MWB vans.

The all-refrigerated fleet is now 100% fitted with Seven Telematics’ TranScan 2 and Cool Track systems, giving Sidoli access to live and retrospective data.

“We felt that Cool Track would be easy to operate in our fleet, while also giving us the vitally important 24/7 coverage of our trailers wherever they are located in the UK,” continues Dodd.

“We are extremely pleased with the performance of Cool Track. Wherever our transport staff are located, we get text and email alerts if there is an issue, which we can then follow up and action accordingly.”

And he adds that customers like the remote temperature monitoring system, because of the increased confidence it ensures across the temperature chain.
