Taylors reports growth in final yard trailer contracts 16 November 2016

Nottingham based haulier Taylors Transport has taken delivery of the last of 50 curtainsided trailers from Montracon, as par to its £2 million fleet investment programme started in 2015.

Twenty trailers from the latest intake have been mounted with Moffett Mounties, reflecting a steadily increasing demand from customers for hauliers to handle the delivery cycle from end to end, says managing director Alan Taylor.

“Using Mounties at each end of the distribution cycle is not only more efficient for us, [as] its cuts turnaround times, but it’s often better and faster for customers, too,” comments Taylor.

And he adds that it’s essential for those who do not have either the correct or any lifting equipment, in-house.

“Certainly, we shall continue to use the trailer livery to promote our ‘initial/final yard’ capability,” he says.

“We will also continue to monitor demand closely and to plan our future trailer replacement and in-house driver training programmes, accordingly.”

Montracon is currently the sole provider Taylors’ trailers which are designed and built to its own specification.
