Ten more MAN 6x2 tractor units for Willmotts DJB 05 September 2012

General haulage, logistics and container operator Willmotts DJB, in Shepton Mallet, has added a further 10 new MAN TGX 26.440 6x2 tractor units to its fleet.

The trucks join three other new units, delivered earlier this the summer, which in turn join 40 existing MAN trucks on Willmotts DJB's 60-strong fleet.

"We've always been happy with the [MAN] product," comments company director Andy Stott. "Fuel figures are consistently high and service support has always been first rate," he adds.

"On maximum weight operations, fuel returns in the high nines are seen regularly, and figures of 10mpg are not altogether infrequent," explains Stott.

"It's on the service front, however, that we are particularly impressed. And, with MAN's newly opened Mendip Truck Centre just down the road, we enjoy a high level of support."

Willmott DJB's new MAN fleet is also equipped with MAN Fleet Management systems, including EcoStyle, MAN's web-based driver monitoring system, which monitors driving parameters and, in turn, is said to encourage more productive operations.
