Terberg DTS UK has launched a fourth generation of its YT tractor range, to be known as the YT193/223, succeeding the YT182/222 logistics and terminal tractor.

Originally planned to be launched at the cancelled Commercial Vehicle Show last month, two vehicles will shortly be available for demonstration in the UK, following the completion of initial trials and full staff training and familiarisation. Initial stock will be available in the UK at the end of the year.

The new Terberg YT Series features an new, patented, modular chassis, a new cab design, new electronics, driver controls and display. The new design has been validated on in track and on-the-job testing.

With uncertainty surrounding what the future looks like, and which power source will rise to the top, Terberg has designed its new tractor unit to work with the latest diesel stage 5, full electric and even hydrogen fuel cell options.

The bolted chassis of the new YT range enables chassis length variants to suit all applications. The chassis now comes standard as galvanised, providing additional long-term protection.

Finally, on board telemetry is now a standard feature on all YT193/223 models. This feature allows the service provider full access to the truck diagnostics, resulting in easy service diagnoses and ultimately significantly reduced downtime, the manufacturer says.
