Terberg unveils refrigerated urban logistics truck at CV Show28 April 2017

Terberg DTS UK has launched an 18-tonne refrigerated urban safety logistics vehicle, designed in conjunction with newly acquired sister company Dennis Eagle and bodybuilder Gray & Adams.

Unveiled at this week’s CV Show (25-27 April), the vehicle is based on Dennis Eagle’s 4x2 Elite 6 11.8m rigid chassis with a Volvo D8K 280bhp Euro 6 engine and Allison MD3000 six-speed automatic gearbox.

The truck features the low-noise, low-emission Carrier TRS Twin Cool undermount 2CPT refrigeration system as standard, which is fitted to a Gray & Adams dual compartment reefer body with an internal moveable bulkhead.

With a curved roof and internal body length of 7,750mm, the body has a volume of 45m3.

Its direct vision capability comes thanks to full-length glass panels and it has a walk-through cab for improved driver safety.

Features include a Mobileye Shield+ collision avoidance system, along with lane change and distance control systems, a newly designed Vue CCTV system and full side length scene lighting.

A Dhollandia 500kg side loading lift is incorporated into the nearside of the body, along with a standard Dhollandia rear tail-lift for loading docks.

The truck was shown for the first time at the show alongside the Terberg DT183LE low-entry distribution shunter tractor, first launched two years ago at the same event.
