Thatcham to the rescue for industry charity’s transport vehicle20 May 2015

Engineers from Thatcham came to the rescue of automotive industry charity BEN recently, when its Peugeot Boxer van needed repairing.

Three engineers from Thatcham's repair technology centre spent a week repairing the charity's transport vehicle free of charge, with one of its apprentices also able to gain valuable hands-on experience during the work.

Thatcham Research has supported the charity for the last three years, donating the proceeds from its annual Repair Focus events to the organisation. The next such event is on 18 June.

Iain Wallace, Thatcham's communications executive, describes BEN as "an extremely worthwhile cause".

And he adds: "When we heard that BEN needed help with a vehicle, it seemed the perfect opportunity for our repair experts to demonstrate their skills."

BEN has moved to Lynwood Court, Lynwood Village, Rise Road, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 0FG.
