Thermo King acquires telematics provider Celtrak12 October 2015

Transport refrigeration equipment maker Thermo King has announced its acquisition of Celtrak, the Galway-based telematics system provider.

Thermo King, part of Ingersoll Rand, has worked with Celtrak for 10 years. The resulting TracKing telematics product has been available exclusively through the Thermo King dealer network.

Ray Pittard, president of Thermo King, described it as a “strategic acquisition”, adding: “Through our decade-long partnership, we’ve successfully elevated our telematics platform to enable data-driven services that help lower our customer’s operating costs, offer traceability and enhance our products and services portfolio.”

Celtrak works with customers in more than 30 countries, and include multi-language products among its range. Chief executive Declan McAndrew says: “This is a good fit for the Celtrak business and our employees.”
