Three year warranty standard for Renault Trucks packages 05 October 2010

Renault Trucks UK has launched two sales packages this month – OptiHIRE and OptiCARE, both aimed at "reducing operating costs and boosting profitability".

Each includes the company's Expandys three-year warranty deal and Nigel Butler, Renault Trucks UK commercial director, says it's all about helping operators to get new trucks on the road.

"We understand the economical and operational pressures faced by our customers in the current climate. With rising fuel costs and pressure to cut down the cost of moving a load, these packages offer an effective solution to enable them to put new vehicles into service – minimising their costs and risks, while increasing profits."

OptiCARE is available across all truck products, from 7.5 to 44 tonnes. The deal also includes Renault's one-day Optifuel driver training package, which covers safe and efficient driving and can also contribute towards a driver's CPC.

As for OptiHIRE, this is the new contract hire package available on Renault Trucks' long haul trucks – Premium Long Distance and Renault Magnum. In addition to the OptiCARE goodies, Butler says operators get "a competitive contract hire agreement from two to five years".

They also get Renault Trucks' 'Start and Drive' R&M for the life of the contract.

The deals run from now until 31st December 2010 for UK customers only. No prices have been given but, with anticipated significant rises across the main truck OEMs – as old-price stock runs out – operators might be wise to find out more.
