TJ Transport signs up for Goodyear Total Mobility09 January 2020

Bulk haulage provider TJ Transport has signed a five-year contract with Goodyear for its Total Mobility package, comprising predictive tyre management, breakdown support and technology-based services.

As part of the deal, the Fareham-based operator’s fleet will be fitted with Goodyear’s Omnitrac S D MSTII, part of a new heavy-duty range that promises better durability, mileage and traction in all weather conditions.

The 3PMSF-marked tyres also contain RFID tags for connectivity with tyre management and tracking systems.

Goodyear’s predictive technology-based service, called Proactive Solutions, will be used across the fleet to monitor tyre pressures and temperatures.

The contract also includes support from the TruckForce partner network for emergency call-outs and day-to-day tyre maintenance, as well as 24/7 roadside assistance from ServiceLine24h.

The Total Mobility package includes access to FleetOnlineSolutions, Goodyear’s web-based fleet management system.

Lee Downer, fleet manager at TJ Transport, says: “It’s vital that our fleet is supported by a reliable and proactive solution to ensure our vehicles can achieve maximum capacity in the available working hours.

“I am confident that the services and products provided by Goodyear, with their various advancements in tyre technology, will ease the efficient and safe delivery of our products to the construction and building materials industry.”
