Traffic commissioners urge operators to use web portals and email25 March 2020

The Office of the Traffic Commissioner is asking operators to use online portals and email for information and communication during the Covid-19 outbreak.

The OTC says regulators are reviewing their processes and making essential changes as the situation develops. With most of its staff working remotely, electronic communications will reduce delays, it says.

Wherever possible, contact the OTC electronically: by visiting Apply for a vehicle operator licence to apply for an O licence; by visiting Mange your vehicle operator licence to manage, vary or surrender your O licence, or to add/remove a transport manager; and by emailing Enquiries@otc.gov.uk with general correspondence, to apply for temporary exemptions to hold an O licence, or to apply for periods of grace.

In addition, operators wishing to register, vary or cancel a bus registration in England or Wales should email PSV-continuations@otc.gov.uk; in Scotland, the email address is Steven.Jones@otc.gov.uk for the same purposes.

The OTC also recommends operators to ensure their email address is up to date as most correspondence will be received by this means.
