Trailer tyre launched in Goodyear KMAX Gen-2 regional range 13 July 2020

Goodyear has extended its KMAX GEN-2 steer and drive truck tyre range with a new trailer tyre.

Predominately for regional fleets, the tyres are said to offer greater mileage and longer life compared to the KMAX T range, as well as winter tire EU legislation compliance and RFID connectivity.

Sizes available include one 19.5-inch and four 22.5-inch rim sizes, including a 385/65R22.5 high load version.

The new tread design has five, six or seven ribs depending on size, providing damage and wear resistance for high mileage and long service life under severe conditions. It has deep sipes, which are still visible even at 75% worn. The new trailer tyres are regroovable.

Connectivity to tyre management systems such as eJob and FleetOnlineSolutions is ensured thanks to radio frequency identification (RFID) integrated in the tyres.

The KMAX T Gen-2 435/50R 19.5 receives B ratings for wet grip and rolling resistance; the KMAX T Gen-2 385/65 R 22.5 receives C and B ratings, respectively, for wet grip and rolling resistance.
