Transport engineers must prepare for winter, says FTA 17 November 2011

The Highways Agency's winter preparation team will use the FTA's Transport Manager seminar series to provide details of its severe winter weather preparations – and how operators should prepare for severe conditions.

The session is aimed at giving managers all the information they need to minimise disruption, and to assist drivers when the weather becomes more unpredictable.

FTA says that delegates will also learn about the work the association does to pass on winter campaign messages to its members.

The nationwide seminar series, aimed at preparing transport managers for the year ahead, has already passed the 1,000 delegates mark – a significant increase on delegate numbers from 2010.

Attendance is open to FTA members at £325 for the first delegate and £275 for subsequent delegates; and to non-members at £385 for the first delegate and £345 for subsequent delegates.
