Transportation trio to host bus and coach conference08 October 2010

Three major names in the UK's transport engineering sector have signed an agreement to jointly produce the Bus and Coach Engineering 2011 conference.

The IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), FTA (Freight Transport Association) and IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) are the signatories for this one-day technical conference, which is due to take place on Wednesday 16 February at the IMechE HQ, One Birdcage Walk, London SW1.

The three organisations say that combining their efforts and reach promises a wide-ranging conference, with a formidable speaker line-up.

The deal was signed by Theo de Pencier, FTA chief executive; John Wood, president of IMechE; and Chris Grime, president of SOE/IRTE. All comment that they now expect to co-operate on further initiatives in the future.
