Truck repair business raises safety standards with cable-free lifts06 February 2014
Commercial vehicle repair business Smiths Mechanical Services has installed new heavy-duty lifting equipment at its Bridgend workshop.
The S6cf cable-free lifts, from SomersTotalKare, are replacing two cabled lifts. Smiths upgraded to cable-free versions to reduce the risk of slips and falls, according to Smiths' John Griffiths, and to eliminate the chance of costly damage to cables.
"The wireless option also gives us the flexibility to easily use the lifts as a set of four, six and eight depending upon the vehicles we need to lift," he adds.
Smiths offers a 24/7 service – including maintenance and MOTs -- to fleet operators across Wales and the South West.
