Tyneside Express keeps on trucking with MAN tractor units 19 February 2015

Tyneside Express Transport has taken delivery of three MAN TGX 26.440BLS 6x2 tractor units with top-of-the-range XXL sleeper cabs – two replacements and one addition to its existing five-strong MAN tractor fleet.

All three were purchased outright, and the Gateshead-based company says "good old fashioned value for money" was key to its decision.

"The performance from our local MAN dealer, MAN Truck & Bus Gateshead, was also a major factor in our decision to choose MAN," states Tyneside Express director Darren Casey.

"The few faults we've had until now have been dealt with quickly and efficiently, and downtime has been kept to a bare minimum," he continues.

"Also, the staff in the service department are extremely helpful, which makes a big difference to me."

The new MAN TGX trucks will be used on Tyneside's general haulage work pulling a mix of curtainside and flatbed trailers throughout the UK.
