The S-WAY, which launched in Europe last year, takes connectivity to a new level through its Connectivity Box, while complying with Euro 6D/Temp emissions standards.

Guest Truck and Van, the largest IVECO dealer network in the UK with 13 different sites, managed to get the first S-WAY in the country to client Mtec, an art transportation, installation and storage company based in Ware, Hertfordshire, thanks to registering interest early and some unique specifications.

The S-WAY is the first truck in IVECO’s new Way heavy range and is a replacement for the Stralis. It launched in Europe last year, complies with Euro VI D emissions standards and features new connectivity features. A new cab and improved aerodynamics result in a claimed 4% fuel economy improvement over its predecessor.

Bal Singh, key account director with Guest Truck and Van, said: “This is the first registered S-WAY in the UK. We made the factory order very early to the specs Mtec required: this is a 4x2 left-hand drive vehicle, which will be ideal for their international work. I believe that the truck was off to Switzerland the day after delivery.”

David Williams, founder of Mtec, said: “I am a big fan of the 13litre diesel engine and believe there is no better vehicle for our operations. Our first vehicle being bought second hand, covering almost 1,700,000km before being retired without any major engine problem.”
