UKWA members set to reduce diesel fuel bills 19 January 2011

UKWA – the trade association for third party storage and logistics sector – has teamed up with independent fuel card supplier Forecourt Fuels to guarantee that members pay the lowest possible on-road diesel rates.

Under the scheme, Forecourt Fuels says it will save operators at least 2.50 pence per litre net (3 pence per litre gross) or 2.75 Euros per litre against the retail national average on every diesel purchased from participating sites.

UKWA members are also getting: free fuel cards; access to over 6,000 UK and 1,500 European service stations; weekly price notifications by email or SMS text; free access to Forecourt Fuels' Webfuels online management tool; and management reports.

"Fuel is at the centre of operating expenses for almost all haulage companies," comments UKWA membership services manager, Michael Davison.

"Recent increases in the price of fuel are causing additional pressure so why not discuss how you can minimise fuel prices with a fuel card for your business? Even fractions of pennies saved on each litre can equate to many thousands of pounds over a year," he adds.
