Engine Connect collects critical data directly from a vehicle’s engine to help fleet managers spot potential issues, helping to prevent mechanical problems and maximise vehicle uptime.
“Engine Connect gives fleet managers a complete view of their vehicles’ performance, enabling them to identify potential issues before they become costly,” says Derek Bryan (pictured), VP EMEA at Verizon Connect.
“With a better understanding of vehicle performance, we can help customers save time and money in the future and provide them with peace of mind knowing their vehicles are running optimally.”
Data analysed includes fuel usage, distance travelled and diagnostics, combining this with GPS location for full visibility.
The technology, adds Verizon, can also help fleet managers to improve driver behaviour leading to better fuel performance, with features such as identification of speeding and idling.
