Volkswagen fleet switch for Winterhalter28 July 2010

Commercial dishwasher supplier Winterhalter is converting its entire service fleet to Volkswagen vans, ordering 47 vehicles consisting of Caddy Maxi, Transporter and Crafters.

The vans will be used nationwide to assist Winterhalter in servicing the commercial dishwashing systems that the company designs and manufactures for the catering and hospitality industry.

"We operate a 96% first time fix service for our customers, so vehicle reliability was very important in our purchasing decision," says Jason Mackay, operations director at Winterhalter.

"And as a German manufacturer, we were pleased to find a German van brand that could meet our standards," he adds.

Mackay reveals that the servicing team are very happy with the vehicle replacement programme and he is impressed with the local Volkswagen Van Centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, which supplied the fleet.
