Volvo B9Rs take to the road with Park’s of Hamilton 13 June 2013

Ten new Volvo B9R coaches with Jonckheere bodywork have joined the fleet at Park's of Hamilton, with three of the new vehicles destined to be used on Scottish football team contracts.

All the new B9Rs feature the Volvo D9 9.4-litre diesel engine, capable of 380bhp, attached to the automated I-Shift transmission.

Celtic, Motherwell and the Scottish national team are all using the new Park's of Hamilton Volvos, which were supplied with 39 table format luxury seats for the players and management teams.

Supplied in 53-seat format, the other seven Volvo coaches are being used on Park's of Hamilton UK and continental tours.

"We've been specifying Volvo since the beginning and we know the high standards that they set, both in terms of their vehicles and aftermarket care," comments Park's of Hamilton director Michael Andrews.

"We required three of the 10 at a slightly different spec level for use on our Scottish football contracts," he continues.

"The B9R offers us the perfect blend of quality, affordability and excellent fuel efficiency combined with exceptional passenger comfort."
