Volvo to shine at Euro Bus Expo 201026 October 2010

Volvo will use next week's Euro Bus Expo to launch its 13-litre 9700 coach. The new model rides on Volvo's new chassis, the B13R, which the Swedes claim provides "exceptional driveability and high levels of passenger comfort".

Other models at the exhibition at Birmingham's NEC, include a facelifted Plaxon Panther 12.8m coach, a Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 2, which uses Volvo's hybrid technology, and a restyled Sunsundegui model.

Volvo is also promising to announce news of initiatives that, according to Steve Dewhurst, Volvo Bus UK managing director, will provide operators with the best choice of low fuel consumption and lower emission vehicles.

"Such is the technology employed that all products benefit from increased levels of reliability, availability and lower whole life costs," he says.
