VW launches online service booking tool for commercial vehicles09 September 2015

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched an online service booking tool which, it says, will take the hassle out of booking vehicles in for routine maintenance.

Customers can now book appointments with their local van centre from a computer, tablet or mobile device.

The system show the nearest van centre and customers simply select the type of work, date and drop-off time. Courtesy vehicles and collection and delivery options can also be arranged through the system.

A video feedback platform enables technicians to show any required work to customers via a video, speeding up the approval process for repairs required and, says VW, ensuring total transparency of the work undertaken.

Trevor Hodgson-Phillips, head of service and parts, says: “Businesses rely on their vans and these new tools are designed to help speed up the booking process as well as reduce any costly downtime.”
