Webasto appoints Ribblesdale main distributor 30 November 2011

Automotive interior heating and cooling company Webasto has appointed Ribblesdale Auto Electrics as an authorised dealer and main distributor in the North West.

The Preston-based company replaces Leyland Auto in Webasto's UK dealer network, and will cover commercial vehicle, coach and bus, ambulance, motorhome and car diesel-fuelled heating systems and electric air conditioning systems.

Ribblesdale offers vehicle workshops, ad DoT approved MoT test centre and a mobile engineering service. The company delivers within 50 miles of Preston twice a week, with a weekly service up to 100 miles, plus a nationwide next day courier service free on orders of more than £120.

"Ribblesdale is exactly the sort of ... organisation that we were looking for," says Steve Powell, Webasto's director of marketing and sales.

"The north west is an important sales and servicing area for our automotive products and I'm confident that Ribblesdale will enable us to achieve even greater success there in the future."
