Arriva North East employs some 1500 staff and operates a fleet of 520 buses from Northumberland to North Yorkshire. We are looking to appoint skilled PCV Fitters at our Darlington and Newcastle depots.
The successful applicant will be required to assist in the servicing and repair of our fleet of buses to the company's Engineering Quality Standard's. You will possess good diagnostic skills and will be quality motivated, have experience of inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicles, in addition to preventative maintenance. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work to high standards set by the company to ensure road worthiness.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team player, who can work effectively unsupervised and use your own initiative to solve problems. In our business, safety of our customers must not be compromised, therefore induction and development will be provided plus PCV Licence Training where necessary.
This is a full time position and you will be required to work 39 hours per week over 5 days. The hours worked are in accordance with the depot rota and include some weekend work.
