The EnduRace RD 60 Series drive tyre and RA 60 Series trailer tyre are designed for heavy-duty applications.
According to Apollo Tyres, both tyres are Three Peak Mountain Snowflake-certified, and each offers 1.5-times greater durability than the European regulatory standard.
The EnduRace RD 60 Series, available in 295/60 R22.5 format, is ideal for operators requiring traction and durability for regional and distribution transport. An optimised footprint is said to ensure equal pressure distribution for optimal year-round traction, while the tyre’s slow-wearing compound helps maximise its useful life. A reinforced casing design – shared with other products in the well-proven EnduRace family – is claimed to maximise stability and facilitate retreading.
The RD 60 Series is expected to perform particularly well in challenging weather conditions, earning a C rating for wet weather performance, and it has a B noise rating for quieter operation.
The EnduRace RA 60 Series all position tyre, available in the popular 315/60 R22.5 size, features sinusoidal grooves that optimise directional stability throughout the life of the tyre and ensure even wear on all axle positions. Like its RD sibling, the RA 60 Series has a specially reinforced casing and a slow-wearing tread compound for an extended lifespan.
It also earns a C rating for rolling resistance, a B rating for wet weather performance, and an A rating for road noise, with a sound level output of just 70 dB.
Yves Pouliquen, vice president commercial, Europe at Apollo Tyres, said: “Our entry into the 60-profile segment reflects an ongoing commitment to delivering best-in-class products for regional transport, and by expanding our popular EnduRace line-up we are catering for a much wider range of customers.”
