Bridgestone reports 42% increase in stand visitors at CV Show

Tyre manufacturer Bridgestone is in buoyant mood after visitor numbers to its stand at the recent Commercial Vehicle Show were up by 42%, compared to last year's event.
The stand was designed around the three pillars of its Total Tyre Care package: Total Tyre Life, Total Tyre Services and Total Tyre Systems. Total Tyre Life aims to maximise tyre life, reducing tyre cost per km over the lifecycle, through the supply of Bridgestone premium new tyres and Bandag retreads. Total Tyre Services is a package designed to keep a commercial truck fleet on the road and operating at maximum efficiency, and includes inspections and technical advice. Total Tyre Systems has been developed to give fleet operators visibility of tyre condition at all times – including the brand's tyre pressure monitoring system. Bridgestone's product and marketing manager Andy Mathias says: "We held meetings with fleets which, between them, have in excess of 40,000 vehicles, so even if we manage to convert a quarter of these leads, the show will have been a quantitative and qualitative success." Bridgestone also used the event to showcase its golf products and accessories, in a bid to draw in a new audience. This included a golf simulator on the stand.
