Grundon upgrades RCV fleet at Bristol depot

Grundon Waste Management has purchased two new waste collection vehicles for its Bristol depot, supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions (RVS).

Using RVS’s RediTruck service, Grundon took delivery of the 26-tonne Mercedes-Benz Econics – built to specification – in less than four months.

Each vehicle is fitted with Dennis Olympus OL21W bodies and Beta trade bin lifts, along with six-way recording camera systems and Enviroweigh bin weighing systems from VWS.

“We needed to replace some hired vehicles quickly to make cost efficiencies at our new Bristol depot. RVS were able to supply the correct vehicles, to Grundon specifications and to our tight timescales, at a competitive price,” says John Stephens, general manager for logistics at Grundon Waste Management (pictured, left, with Spencer Law of RVS and Stephen Townsend, Grundon’s group fleet engineer).
