LCV2016 low-carbon vehicle seminar programme launched

The seminar programme for Cenex’s national low carbon vehicle event LCV2016 (Millbrook Proving Ground, 14—15 September 2016) has now been announced.

Keynote addresses are now scheduled from: Cenex chairman Brendan Connor; Ian Constance, CEO of Advanced Propulsion Centre UK; Dr Stephan Neugebauer, chairman of ERTRAC (European Road Transport Research Advisory Council), chair of EGVIA (European Green Vehicle Initiative Association) and director of global research cooperation at BMW; and Simon Edmonds, director of manufacturing and materials at Innovate UK.

Other big names include; Graham Hoare of Ford Motor Company; Steve Yianni, CEO of Transport Systems Catapult; Neville Jackson, chief technology and innovation office at Ricardo; Gareth Dunsmore, Electric Vehicle Director at Nissan; Bart Biebuyck, executive director at the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking; and Richard Bruce, head of OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles).

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex says the LCV2016 seminar programme has been designed, first, to showcase latest technology developments and results from research projects, and second, to look at the future for the low carbon vehicle community.

“The seminar programme for LCV2016 is of a similar scale and scope to last year and covers a broad range of topics of interest to the low carbon vehicle community,” comments Evans.

“The seminar programme features double sessions on core LCV themes, including propulsion technologies, digital engineering, energy for transport and lightweight materials, as well as connected and autonomous vehicles,” he continues.

“New thematic sessions include a session on air quality and one on automotive electronics, as well as a multi-session workshop to be run on the 14 September by the Advanced Propulsion Centre.”
