Reynolds moves forward with another 31 Isuzu 7.5 tonners

Rigids
Seven years after the first Isuzu joined Waltham Abbey-based catering firm Reynolds all-refrigerated fleet, the company has taken delivery of a further 31 new Isuzu Forward 7.5-tonne rigids.
Commercial director Paul Collins says the company now predominantly specifies Isuzus for all its 7.5-tonne distribution truck requirements. The latest Forwards are all N75.190 rigids specified with the Easyshift transmission, which is proving ideal for Reynolds' stop/start deliveries. The trucks have also all been fitted with the latest single compartment Solomon's refrigerated bodies, with Carrier Transicold Xarios 600 direct drive refrigeration systems. "Originally we were attracted by the Isuzu's payload potential for our intensive multi-drop distribution routes," he explains. "Over the years, though, the Isuzus have given us additional benefits, as they have proved to be extremely reliable and they offer really low operational running costs," he adds. Collins explains that the trucks work out of five distribution depots nationwide and have a working life of between five and seven years, working hard on intensive daily delivery routes involving between 25 and 30 drops per truck journey.
