NR Evans, one of the UK's largest temperature-controlled distribution fleets, has extended its 10-year relationship with Bridgestone, after the tyre manufacturer proposed a full-service package which the firm describes as "compelling".
The Carmarthenshire-based operator delivers more than £500 million worth of chilled product each year. It asked tyre companies to submit a tender, in which Bridgestone detailed its Total Tyre Care package.
Neil Evans, NR Evans' managing director, says: "Millimetre for millimetre and pence per kilometre, Bridgestone offered an outstanding repair and breakdown service, which was too compelling to overlook.
"The fact that you can manage all tyre-related matters online, coupled with Bridgestone's helpful staff, all added up to a complete value-for-money package," he adds.
Total Tyre Care has three components: premium new tyres and retreads; tyre maintenance and assistance throughout Europe; and inspection tools, customised reports and technology services such as Bridgestone's Toolbox app and TPMS.
