SOE (Society of Operations Engineers, the umbrella for IRTE) has promoted Ian Chisholm to managing director from executive director. He joined SOE as engineering executive in 2001 and has since overseen significant development at the society.

Ciaran Blakemore, a graduate of Scania’s commercial vehicle apprenticeship, has won the Institute of the Motor Industry’s outstanding achiever award for the heavy vehicle category – having already won Scania’s apprentice of the year trophy in 2013 and 2014.

Iveco UK has promoted Nick Pemberton to director of its truck business line, while Ian Lumsden moves up to director of its light business line. Both are long-term Iveco heavyweights now reporting to Iveco UK managing director Stuart Webster.

Hannah Rowley has joined Totalkare as a marketing assistant, having graduated from Birmingham City University with a BA in Business Studies. She reports to Tristan Johnston, Totalkare sales and marketing manager.

Lee Elliot has joined the internal operations team at Selsia Vehicle Accident Centres, with responsibility for all aspects of fleet client liaison.

Three new appointments have joined epyx’s 1link Disposal Network team. Gemma Cleaver is remarketing development manager; and Amy Suffolk and Lauren Clifford have been appointed as internal account managers. All now report to David Goodyear, commercial director.

Thirsk based CCTV and wireless transmission specialist Vemotion has appointed Dave Wilson as its new UK sales manager. Wilson is experienced in the electronic security industry, also having covered IP CCTV, ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) and bus lane enforcement.

James Thorley is the new fleet sales manager at Scania Bus and Coach, working alongside UK fleet sales general manager Mark Oliver. He joins Scania from MAN.

Rachel McMullen has been named group operations director at ATS Euromaster, after nearly eight years leading the company’s finance department. In March 2015 she was named UK Finance Director of the Year at the Business Finance Awards.

TRW Aftermarket has appointed Ben Smart as marketing director, global parts and services, with immediate effect. He has been with TRW’s aftermarket business since 2010, most recently working as senior manager marketing for services.

ZF Services Partner Powertrain Products has announced the appointment of Kevin Middleton as managing director. Middleton has spent the last six years overseas as an executive for First Group America with responsibility for all engineering and procurement across all three of its North American Divisions.

The chairman and founder of retail logistics operator Clipper Logistics, Steven Parkin, has won the award for outstanding achievement from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
