Marc Martinez has been appointed managing director of Renault Trucks in the UK. Taking up the post on 1 July 2010, Martinez will replace Laurent Farman, who takes over the same post at Renault Trucks in Spain. On the books at Renault for 22 years, Martinez has been involved primarily in sales roles.

Workshop systems firm Accelerator has appointed Rob Smith as its business development manager. Smith will be responsible for developing features for Accelerator, as part of its pledge to supply regular, free updates and improvements to customers.

Steve Tyers is VT Group's new UK fleet manager for the MoD Whitefleet contract, where he will be responsible for the six remaining area offices and 36 staff. The fleet is in excess of 15,000 vehicles, ranging from gritters up to 44T LGVs.

Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London has made Simon Rodgers its new sales director. Rodgers' appointment is central to Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London's focus on building partnerships with customers from across all sectors of the transport industry.

Roy Shelton is now Bevan Group's aftercare manager, responsible for growing the dry freight truck body specialist's repair and maintenance business – and already with 15 eye-catching Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 313CDI service vans under his wing.
