Mark Todd has been appointed to the new role of head of aftersales at Isuzu Truck (UK), reporting to managing director Pete Murphy. Todd has been managing operations for the company since deputy managing director Bob Haughton departed last year. He was formerly general manager parts, service & warranty and has been with Isuzu Truck (UK), for 10 years.
Mark Barton has returned to Kent-based MC Group to drive its newly-launched pre-owned vehicle sales service. He last worked at the firm in 1998, having risen through the ranks to director level, but left to join the Euroway Group where he became managing director of its rental service. As used asset and disposal director in the MC Rental division, he now heads the sales service, dealing with HGVs from 7.5 tonne rigids to artics, as well as cars, vans and 4x4 vehicles.
Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London has appointed Peter Groome to the post of regional managing director. Reporting directly to Volvo Trucks' UK managing director Arne Knaben, Groome will be responsible for eight dealerpoints in and around London, from Milton Keynes to Croydon and from Didcot to Bedford. He will be based at the region's head office in Hayes. Groome has been with Volvo Trucks UK since 2000. Over the last 12 months, he has been responsible for developing the Volvo and Renault Trucks UK Used Truck brand offer and improving customer service, reporting to Gino Costa, managing director, Renault Trucks UK, who also heads up the Volvo Group UK Used Truck operation.
Mike Corcoran has now stepped up to director Used Truck for Volvo Group UK, to replace Groome. Corcoran has held several positions in used trucks in various Volvo Group UK companies, including Volvo Financial Services, which he joined in 1999.
