Professor Richard Wilding OBE is the new chairman of CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport). Wilding heads up supply chain strategy at Cranfield’s Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Meanwhile, former European development director for Norbert Dentressangle (now XPO Logistics) Kevin Richardson is to take over from Steve Agg as chief executive.

Marc Trollet has been appointed managing director at MiX Telematics Europe. He has been involved with telematics for more than a decade and was formerly managing director France at Masternaut.

Volvo Bus product planning manager Adrian Wickens – former chairman of the SMMT bus and coach section – has retired after 42 years. Adrian Felton moves from product manager to take Wickens’ city mobility manager responsibilities, while Dan Tanner has been recruited from Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia to replace Felton.

Ian Wallace is the new product and support director at Volvo Bus, moving up from service delivery manager for the UK and Ireland – a role now filled by Kevin Capes, ex of Volvo Trucks. Meanwhile, James Hyde is the new retail sales director and Matt Howroyd takes the reins as business control director, following the retirement of Gordon Reid.

ATS Euromaster technician Michael Vasey scooped the REACT Roadside Technician of the Year award from the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) – the ‘Oscars’ for the tyre industry.

Ed Hummel, formerly managing director of automotive data and intelligence specialist EurotaxGlass’s, is now commercial director at contract hire and leasing firm Essential Fleet Services. Hummel has previously been in sales at Honda, Volkswagen and Ford.

Tim Johnson has been appointed to lead the sales team at Days Contract Hire. He previously held senior sales management positions at Volkswagen Group Leasing.
