Ambulance maintenance boosted by Totalkare lifts31 May 2019

Isle of Man operator Bus Vannin has expanded its workshop capacity with two four-post lifts from Totalkare.

The government-owned and operated bus service also maintains the island’s growing ambulance fleet, and the light commercial four-post lift is boosting efficiency and enabling safe repair of these vehicles, with its lifting capacity of 6,500kg.

Karl Woolford, engineering manager at Bus Vannin, says the operator has been using Totalkare’s heavy-duty mobile column lifts for bus fleet maintenance so “we knew the product would be up to the task”.

The new lift, he says, “has improved the working environment considerably for the maintenance team”.

He adds: “The comprehensive aftermarket support is also invaluable on an island in the middle of the Irish Sea! We are extremely happy with the new product and the service.”
