Antalis buys into DAF fleet with Fraikin contract hire deal 24 January 2017

Paper, packaging and marketing materials merchant Antalis has ordered 81 new trucks from Fraikin under a £5million, seven-year contract hire deal to modernise its 160-strong fleet.

All are DAF 18-tonne DAF LF 260 curtainside rigids, specified by Antalis with the AS-tronic 12 speed AMT (automated manual transmission).

All will be mounted with 1,500kg tail-lifts, and fitted with safety equipment including rear-reversing cameras and left-turn safety alert systems

They will be manufactured at the Leyland plant.

Fraikin’s full service contract hire agreement includes all repair and maintenance, six-weekly safety inspections, MOT testing, tyre management and 24/7 roadside assistance.
