Arriva invests £1.7 million in low-carbon hybrid buses26 August 2014

Bus operator Arriva has invested £1.7 million in a fleet of 10 WrightBus StreetLite Micro hybrids for its North Hertfordshire and Luton operation.

Linking Luton, Harpenden, St Albans and Watford, the buses will go into service on 31 August.

As well as improving air quality along the route, the buses incorporate several features to improve passenger service such as leather seats, an audio-visual display to announce the next stop, and free on-board Wi-Fi.

Each seat also has power and USB sockets to allow passengers to charge mobile devices.
