ATL Haulage anticipates rewards with Microlise02 November 2015

Essex-based ATL Haulage is rolling out Microlise’s Fleet Performance telematics solution across its 75-strong fleet to establish a new driver incentive programme.

The company, which operates from all major ports in the UK, is anticipating performance improvement by increasing driver engagement and incentivising those with the best track record.

“By introducing friendly competition we will raise the performance level of our entire fleet. We know that by reducing harsh cornering, acceleration and braking events, we’ll conserve fuel, minimise upkeep costs and reduce our environmental impact, too,” said Amit Karia, ATL’s managing director.

The Microlise Driver Performance Management application will enable ATL’s drivers to self-debrief and compare their results in a league table, which will display performance and fuel usage figures.

Drivers will receive a regular report based on the Microlise A-G rating system. The self-debriefing option means trainers can intervene only where needed, for maximum impact.

The telematics solution is also being used to track vehicles, and will enable ATL’s customers to track their deliveries in real time.
